Interestingly, I've heard of companies doing the same thing for their 360 degree review process - employees create anonymous avatars and provide real-time feedback to company execs (who have avatars of their own). Sounds kind of bizarre but it gets employees engaged in the process.
ReplyDeleteThis can help doctors know of demographically diverse conditions. For example, a doctor in India might not have any idea of the health conditions and diseases typical to Caucasians etc. Second life can help doctors in any part of the world to know about the conditions faced by different ethnic groups.
