Samsung TV with Internet Conenctions

    I wonder if they have some kind of BI built into this which shows relevant advertisements on tv (or vice-a-versa) based on kind of widgets you have installed, or this might be the next step.

    The original stack from Microsoft presentation is so going to change now, companies like Samsung were nowhere in that picture as nobody thought that pure consumer electronic items have anything to do with cloud. All that is going to change in near future. It will be interesting to see if many people shift from computers to television sets as a central convergence point(you might get built-in high quality camera in tv set, a slick touch screen keyboard for instant chat etc). If that happens, companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft will have to find right partners in consumer electronics space also (else come up with their own product). Or someone like Apple can come with their own device and take market away form someone like Samsung.

    Any further thoughts?

    I think this convergence is just starting.. Exciting for many and scary for some as they navigate this complex landscape.

    Given that this convergence is taking off, does Microsoft's play to control the living room with the Xbox really stand a chance? I mean, this clearly shows that the "box" can be in the TV. Why would anyone want to use an additional, peripheral console when you can do it all through the TV?
